Riccardo Agostini wins 2012 Italian F3 Championship

18 YEAR-OLD DRIVER FROM PADUA WINS HIS FIRST TITLE WITH JD MOTORSPORT-MYGALE

Riccardo Agostini, 18, is the 2012 Italian F.3 champion in his very first year in the series after racing in F.Abarth. Already Rookie champion, Agostini completed a season, in which he dominated on all fronts, in the best possible way.

Five victories, six poles, four seconds - including the one achieved in Race 1 last Saturday - and six third places, are an excellent outcome that eventually allowed him to hit the target. All of this thanks to the superb team-work of JD Motorsport, a singleseater - the Mygale - which proved to be competitive in every circumstance, but above all to a driver who fought until the last corner.

Despite an extremely troubled weekend - only fifth and sixth in the two qualifying sessions on Friday - Agostini showed a great ability to recover, reaching tsecond place in Race 1, a sixth place in Race 2 and fifth in Race 3.

Next on his schedule in the second week of November is the Ferrari F1 test at Vellelunga, the prize for the Rookie champion.
