The Starter Drive Course will take approximately 2-hours to complete and will include around 35minutes of actual driving time. Aimed at students of 12-16yrs, this course offers a driving 'taster' with basic skills such as going forward, turningleft, right and negotiating roundabouts being covered.Alternatively, there is the 4-hour Advanced Drive Course which covers both the basics of the Starter Drive Course (although in more depth) as well as additional experiences such as the Beer Goggle Walk which simulates the effects of drinking and how this impacts on concentration and spatialawareness as well as basic car maintenance including essential car checks that all drivers should undertake before going out on the road - the POWDER check! But that's not all as youngsters will also get to drive on the international race circuit following in the wheels of motor racing greats including AyrtonSenna, Nigel Mansell and David Coulthard who have all raced and won at Castle Combe Circuit. Although speeds will be regulated, this really will bea pretty much 'once-in-a-lifetime' experience for these novice drivers.Marketing and Events Manager, Jo Sparrow confirmed: "Although I have been driving for too many years to mention, I feel that I ought to be booking into the 'Startline Advanced Drive' myself as the addition of basic car maintenance and road safety really makes this course stand out from many other young driver experiences available. It is our intention to give students not only the thrill and excitement of that first drive in acontrolled and safe environment, but also some important road safety and car maintenance messages that they can then take with them through life. The opportunity to drive on a real motor racing circuit has also got great kudos and will definitely be something that they can show off about to friends and family once they have completed their drive and received their certificate!""We have partnered up with Mike Williams of Driving Force in Bristol as we felt his ethos of producing skilled, knowledgeable and socially responsible young drivers iskey to what the circuit is trying to achieve. Yes, we want the course to be a fabulously fun experience and a real "must do" for our younger students. We are also very aware however of the need to ensure that road safety and responsibility goes hand in hand with driving experiences and Mike's involvement plays a key part in this".Full information on Startline Young Driver Experiences can be found a www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk  built by Racecar
