RYE House promoter Len Silver says he already has five members of his 2013 team in place with a No.1 and a reserve required to complete the line-up.The Rockets have candidates for both positions with Silver admitting that he would like to add further experience alongside captain Jason Bunyan. He said: For the No.1 slot, I am not looking for a spectacular rider. I have plenty of those. The team needs a rider of long experience who can score consistently and reliably on all tracks. He also needs to be a person who fits in with our family ideology and not a prima donna. Such riders are not easy to find, but at present I am in discussions and hope to be able to make an announcement within a short time, possibly as soon as our Annual Conference is complete.

PREMIER League Champions Scunthorpe have named Danish star Thomas Jorgensen as their Rider of the Year.Jorgensen spent the last two months of the campaign on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury but was presented with his award, voted by the fans, at the clubs end-of-season celebrations following their dramatic Grand Final win over Somerset.Scorpions boss Richard Hollingsworth said: Im delighted that Thomas was able to come over from Denmark to come along to the party and pick up his award, as he was unable to be there on the night when we clinched the league title. Hes been very much part of our success story this season. The award shows how much the fans appreciated his contribution and efforts, before sadly, he found himself on the injury list.
