Agostini ready to take to the track with Ferrari F1

ITALIAN DRIVER WILL DRIVE THE F10 CAR AT VALLELUNGA

Today Riccardo Agostini will sit in the cockpit of Ferrari F1 as a test-prize awarded to the champion of the F3 Italian Series 2012.

The appointment is at the Roman circuit of Vallelunga, where for the driver from Padua a dream will soon become reality. 4085 meters to face several times, behind the wheel of the single-seater powered by the mighty Maranellos V8 engine, which in 2010 belonged to Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. The same model of car that the Spaniard drove to victory in five races the same year (Bahrain, Germany, Italy, Singapore and Korea) obtaining the second place in the championship just four points behind Sebastian Vettel.

Im really happy and honoured to face such an important test for my career. I tried to prepare myself, even physically, to take advantage of this opportunity which is not just an award, but a unique chance to put myself in the limelight on a car that is the dream of every driver. These were the words of the young Italian driver, who become 18 years old the 20th of last April, on his third season with the single-seaters (in 2010 and 2011 in F. Abarth and then, in 2012 his debut in F3 and the title won driving the JD Motorsports Mygale, and at the same time drawing attention to himself as the best of the Rookie).

In the past days, waiting for the same test with the Ferrari, in order to get confidence with a more powerful car, Agostini tried the GP2 of the Coloni team on the Circuit de Catalunya in Montmel. An intense period for him, considering that he will also take part in the collective tests of the World Series 3.5 for another test-prize offered by Renault Sport to the champions of the national F3 series, taking place on the Spanish circuit of Alcaiz from the 21st November.
