SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES: SOLARIS MOTORSPORT HITS THE TRACK FOR TESTING AT ADRIA

ITALIAN-BASED SQUAD FIELDS TWO CARS FOR 2012 REGULAR FRANCESCO SINI AND AUSTRIAN YOUNGSTER FLORIAN RENAUER

Team Solaris Motorsport was back on-track for a test session this week at Adria, as the Pescara-based operation continued to work hard after the conclusion of the 2012 SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES. The team, managed by Christian Grasso, fielded their two Chevrolet Lumina racecars after a major rebuild which followed the last round of the season at Pergusa.

Solaris Motorsport's top driver Francesco Sini was behind the wheel of one of the American racers. After having scored a spectacular win - his maiden one - at Mugello, a third place at Monza and a second place at Pergusa, Sini ended up fifth in the 2012 International Series standings.

For their second Chevy, Solaris Motorsport relied on Florian Renauer, who made his GTSPRINT debut this season at Pergusa aboard a Ginetta. The Austrian-based youngster, born in 1993, left a strong impression as he quickly merged with the team and car, showing to be ready for a full-time commitment in 2013.

We're really happy with the performance level showed by Florian, who proved fast and consistent straight out of the box - told Sini - on my car we put to test some new set-up solutions and we're reasonably satisfied with them. We're looking forward to reach an agreement with Florian for next season so we can aim at winning the Rookie competition in addition to the overall championship!.

Team Solaris Motorsport scored some highly-impressive results at their first season in the FG GROUP series. On the other hand, they have already refocused on 2013 in order to be competitive in every round and battle with the other top cars of the field, including Audi, Mercedes and BMW.
