Gearlink Kawasaki Sign Two Riders For the National Superstock 600 Class

Gearlink Kawasaki is delighted to announce that they will enter two riders in the National Superstock 600 Championship in 2013 riding the Kawasaki ZX-6R. They have signed 2012 Motostar British Champion Luke Hedger and also they will run talented female Irish racer Nicole Mc Aleer.

The two young racers will join the Gearlink team and will gain knowledge and experience from currently signed British Supersport riders Ben Wilson and Alastair Seeley. 17-year-old Luke from Bristol has made an impressive impact on the racing paddock since his arrival in the British Championship only two years ago and winning the Motostar Championship this year in only his second year in the Championship. He has made fantastic progress and is eager to keep learning and progress through the ranks starting in the National Superstock 600 class next year.

Luke Hedger - "I'm really pleased to be joining such an elite team as Gearlink Kawasaki in 2013, I think this will be really good for me to be part of such a professional team and to have Ben and Alastair as my team-mates is going to be awesome. I can't wait for the first test on the Gearlink Kawasaki, I would like to say a big thank you to Norma and Michael for giving me this opportunity, also a massive thank you to Louise and Gary from 1stchoice-flooring.co.uk for making this happen, April can't come soon enough."

Joining Luke will be popular Irish racer Nicole Mc Aleer, Nicole has raced for several years in the British 125 Championship and also in the Stock 600 Championship in the past. Having a year away from the British paddock in 2012 to contest the Thundersport Championship she will make a welcome return to the series in 2013 with Gearlink Kawasaki. The 20-year-old Northern Irish racer is extremely excited about joining the Gearlink Kawasaki team.

Nicole Mc Aleer -"I'm really happy to be riding for Gearlink Kawasaki in 2013 as I've always been close with Norma and Michael whilst I was racing at BSB and I always knew it was a great, close working team and I have always wanted to ride for a team like that but never thought it would be possible. I would like to thank my sponsors for making this possible, megabikes.ie, Ben Gautrey Foundation, Daytona boots, Gortrush foods, Splash in the Pan and my Mum and Dad for all their continued help and support."

Team Manager Michael de Bidaph - "I am thrilled that we have signed Luke and Nicole to compete in the Superstock 600 series next year. Whilst Luke is new to the 600cc bike he has certainly proved his talent in BSB, winning the Motostar British Championship this year, so I am sure that he will be a worthy contender in 2013. We have known Nicole for a few years now and I am sure that she will be able to prove herself in 2013 riding for Gearlink Kawasaki. Norma and myself would like to thank our sponsors and also wish them a very Merry Christmas and successful and prosperous 2013."
