Trip to Austin Grand Prix for Pirelli GP Challenge winner

The overall winner of the UK version of the Pirelli Grand Prix Challenge (PGPC), an online Formula One predicition game, has won an all-expenses VIP trip to the USA Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

Users of the Pirelli GP Challenge were able to sign up at any time during the 2012 season to play the free online game. Players made their predicitions ahead of each Grand Prix and the top five performers won a prize. After every four races, a round winner was announced with all players starting again with a zero points balance.

Kevin Wright was the highest scoring overall player during the season and his predictions have rewarded him with a fully-paid VIP trip to next years Austin Grand Prix. "This season of Pirelli GP Challenge has been one to remember for obvious reasons, said prize winner Wright.

It's nice to enter a competition that has a simple set-up process and to be able to watch your progress throughout the year. I was always been well informed on prizes and even managed to miss a race weekend yet still managed to win! It was also brilliant to win a Pirelli jacket and watch so again thank you very much Pirelli UK. I look forward to another successful F1 championship next year and defending my crown, added Wright.

A host of big names signed up to forecast their predictions in 2012 including former British racing driver and TV presenter, Tiff Needell. Other celebrity users include Pirelli test driver Lucas di Grassi, F1 journalist David Tremayne and correspondent for BBC Radio 5 Live, James Allen.
