Superstars World of Racing sets sights on 2013

SUPERSTARS WORLD OF RACING SETS SIGHTS ON 2013 WITH A NEW BRAND-IDENTITY, MANY INNOVATIONS AND AN INTERNATIONAL SCHEDULE

SUPERSTARS WORLD OF RACING is ready for some serious success in 2013. Following to an exciting season, SUPERSTARS and GTSPRINT are set to reach new achievements after the record numbers recorded in 2012. This season, an unprecedented TV coverage plan featured live broadcast of the races in 66 countries and a total of 195 territories reached in tape-delayed form. In addition to that, the crowds on Race Day have been massive, with the benchmark set at Vallelunga by the 33.000 people that showed up on the grandstands. Nine car manufacturers lined-up including Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Jaguar, Lexus, Maserati and Mercedes, and all of them were provided with a sensational product by spec supplier Hankook Tire. Last but not least, the Drivers brought on-track some sensational talent and competition.The 2012 championships added a new chapter to the history of SUPERSTARS and GTSPRINT, and this season's yearbook will feature the best of them including photos, data and technical insights. The Drivers will be featured on the 2013 Donna Donna Onlus calendar which will be available as a supplement to the last 2012 issue of weekly magazine Autosprint and at donnadonnaonlus.org.While celebrating the end of the season, SUPERSTARS is looking forward to 2013. The action will be back at Monza on April the 7th, while some fresh new venues will be coming in the following couple of months, including Brno (May 19), Slovakia Ring (June 9) and Zolder (June 23), while Portimo will be back hosting the series on the 21st of July. Teams and Drivers will then move to Donington Park on the 1st of September, and after a short break action will resume on September the 29th at Imola. The series' grand finale will be held at a yet-to-be disclosed venue in Italy.The GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES will be a key part of the SUPERSTARS WORLD. The Grand Touring series will sport a new race format, featuring two 60-minute races per weekend with mandatory pit-stops and two separate qualifying sessions.
