MILDENHALL have confirmed returns to West Row for four members of last years team as they look to defend the National League title.Stefan Nielsen, Dan Halsey, Josh Bates and Nathan Stoneman are all back with the Fen Tigers, whilst Aaron Baseby makes a full-time return and Liam Rumsey joins from Stoke, with the club considering options for a final heat-leader to complete the team.Chairman Kevin Jolly said: We all saw the huge progress made by Stefan and Josh last year, and Nathan looked a fantastic prospect until he broke his leg and has huge potential for this season. Dan is a rock steady performer who will do a great job again and we all know Aaron will do well again for us. As soon as we knew he wasn't going back to Stoke we moved quickly to snap up Liam Rumsey. Myself, Chris (Louis) and Michael (Lee) have seen enough of him to believe he is a steal on his current three point average and will be another success story for Mildenhall.(SPEEDWAY 2)
NEWCASTLE and Lakeside star Richie Worrall is the second name to be confirmed for the Ben Fund Bonanza meeting at Berwick on March 9.Worrall is back to full fitness after missing the second half of last season due to injury and plans to warm up for the UK campaign with a racing trip to New Zealand later this month. He said: Its good to get the chance because with me breaking my leg, the Ben Fund have helped me a lot. This will let me give something back to them and also get a lot of Newcastle fans to the meeting.I have ridden once since the injury, a couple of weeks ago, and I was a bit rusty and not confident, but hopefully it will come back. Im training hard now and putting a lot of money into getting my gear right. I hope the trip to New Zealand will mean that I can come back as good as before.
