Cor Euser Racing BMW 120D Qualifies Second In Class for 24 Hours of Dubai

Maxi Endurance 48/SPEEDCOM/Cor Euser Racing BMW 120D Qualifies Second In Class for the 8th Annual 24 Hours of Dubai2010 Winner Toto Lassally Returns with 2009 Podium Finishers Steve Goldin and Scott Finlay; Cor Euser Racing Lotus Evora with Shane Lewis and Vic Rice Starts Third in ClassDUBAI, United Arab Emirates (January 10, 2013) Former race class winner Toto Lassally, and past podium finishers Steve Goldin and Scott Finlay, qualified second Thursday in the D1 class in the No. 152 Maxi Endurance 48/SPEEDCOM/Cor Euser Racing BMW 120D with co-drivers Jesus Diez Villaroel and Matthew Di Leo for this weekends 8th Annual 24 Hours of Dubai.

The Dubai 24H starts at 2 p.m. Dubai local time, Friday, January 11, which is 5 a.m. ET/2 p.m. PT in the United States.  A variety of multi-media and timing and scoring features are available to track all of the action at www.24hdubai.com.

The No. 152 BMW team is racing to promote the upcoming "Maxi Endurance 48" which is the worlds first ever 48-hour endurance race that will be held at the Circuit of Navarra in Spain, March 14 17. Cor Euser Racing has already entered the teams winning BMW 120D in the inaugural running of the Maxi Endurance 48 but the first order of business is another 24H victory at the Dubai Autodrome in the next two days.

Lassally is racing for the honor of his native El Salvador, Goldin and Finlay are from the United States, Di Leo is a Canadian and Diez Villaroel is a Spaniard who is an accomplished international sports car driver and founder of the Maxi Endurance 48.  Navarra is only is about 20 kilometers from Pamplona,Spain, home to the famous Running of the Bulls. Lassally, Goldin and Finlay joined Jim Briody and Goldins younger brother Keith Goldin for a second-place diesel class finish in the 2009 Dubai 24H.  One year later Lassally and Briody returned and won the competitive D1 class with teammates Hal Prewitt and team owner Cor Euser himself, the legendary Dutch driver and team owner who is once again fielding multiple entries in the 24H Dubai.

In addition to the Maxi Endurance 48 BMW 120D, Cor Euser Racing is fielding its No. 148 Lotus Evora GT4 in the SP3 class with Americans Shane Lewis and Vic Rice joining Dutchman Henk Thijssen and Englishman Trevor Knight.  The Lotus will start third in the SP3 field.
