BRDC F4 introduces Who Zooms Award for 2013 with 5,000 prize fund

The BRDC Formula 4 Championship is pleased to announce the creation of the Who Zooms Award for its inaugural season, with the driver who gains the most grid places in a season receiving 5,000 courtesy of Yoozoom Telecom.

Designed to encourage overtaking throughout the field, the prize is open to all F4 competitors and is backed by the Leeds-based telecommunications company, whose Managing Director Alex Deighton is a former Formula First champion and McLaren Autosport Award finalist.

The reward forms part of an outstanding prize package for the championship which includes a 25,000 scholarship to the overall winner together with a test with title-winning Formula 3 squad Carlin.

Alex Deighton said: The BRDC Formula 4 Championship is a young, dynamic and exciting new championship and matches the Yoozoom Telecom brand perfectly, so were delighted to be a part of it. The Who Zooms Award is an innovative prize as it is open to everyone, irrespective of whether they finish in the points or not, and just focuses on their overtaking prowess which in turn will make the racing even more exciting.

The Who Zooms Award replaces the previous Privateers Cup prize and will see all drivers carrying Yoozoom Telecom branding on their F4 car.
