RICKY Wells has ended speculation over his Premier League future by agreeing a new deal with Sheffield.
The American has been locked in talks with the Owlerton side for weeks but he contacted club bosses late on Tuesday night to accept the contract, and he will continue to double-up in the top flight with Wolverhampton.
Tigers co-promoter David Hoggart said: “Obviously I am delighted, it hasn't been easy for either of us but we have both moved so that the original offer could be re-drafted to make us both happy.
“Ricky has set his stall out to capitalise on his excellent performances towards the end of last year and expects big things of himself.”

DAVID Howe’s Testimonial meeting at Scunthorpe on March 24 will feature Simon Stead – his fierce rival from over a decade ago when the two contested the British Under-21 title.
Stead was a three-time winner of the event with Howe having to settle for one victory, with several incidents and controversies from the meetings remaining talking-points to this day.
Stead said: “I guess the Under-21s over these years just showed the determination we both had to win it, and I think it affected our friendship during that stage of our careers, it was something we both wanted so badly.
“But we’ve since moved on, and I’m delighted to be involved in his big meeting. David’s has been a long and successful career fully deserving of a Testimonial and I hope he gets a good crowd.”
