(SPEEDWAY 1)BERWICKS fears of not taking to the track in 2013 have been ended by a team sponsorship deal with worldwide agriculture giants New Holland. The company, with bases in the Scottish Borders and East Lothian, have previously backed major events at Shielfield Park, and are now on-board for a full season with the Bandits.Berwick director George Hepburn said: We already have eight associate sponsors lined up for 2013, with possibly more coming forward yet, giving a substantially solid financial backing, but New Holland have come forward to be our main sponsors and we are delighted.I will say though that the door is open still for another firm or company to come forward and join New Holland as joint sponsors - with their blessing - similar to clubs elsewhere in the sport. I thank Neil Johnston of New Holland for all his support and work in cementing the deal.(SPEEDWAY 2)
TAI Woffinden will join fellow Grand Prix stars in Freddie Lindgrens Testimonial at Wolverhampton on Sunday, March 10.Woffinden, who will return to the UK soon from his winter break in Australia, takes his place in the Fast Freddie Challenge alongside Andreas Jonsson, Nicki Pedersen, Niels-Kristian Iversen and Lindgren himself.Lindgren said: I have never been in doubt that Tai would be up for the challenge to race in my Testimonial. We know each other very well having raced together at Wolves since he came up to the Elite League, and at the end of last season we rode together in the UK, Poland and Sweden. He has an interesting year in front of him being back in the Grand Prix series and he's on the way up, one way he showed it was taking over the No.1 race jacket from me at Wolves at the end of last season even though I plan to take it back in 2013!
