THE TEAM, OWNED BY SIMONE PETRI, WILL ALSO LINE-UP TWO PORSCHE 911 GT3 CUP CARS IN THE GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES

The Porsche brand is set for a top-flight return in the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES. After the outstanding debut made in 2010, when Fabrizio Giovanardi and Ntechnology scored four wins, the mighty Porsche Panamera will return to the series this season, lining-up in from the championship-opening race at Monza on the 7th of April. Two of the German sports saloon racers, featuring an upgraded chassis, will be fielded by Petri Corse Motorsport. The Italian squad will also join the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES with two Porsche 911 Gt3 Cup cars. The driver line-up for the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES is still to be announced, but two fast and experienced racers are expected to join the Italian squad's ranks.Regarding the Panameras, I can anticipate that we're working hard in terms of their technical development - said Team Principal Simone Petri - we have the engine running at the dyno to know if there's still room for more performance without compromising the reliability, while major upgrades are expected on the chassis. We continued to invest in this very important car brand and we decided to join an high-level championship involving some tough competition in terms of car manufacturers. That will provide additional motivation in order to achieve good results. On the other hand, we are absolutely committed to GTSPRINT. I think we are are doing a good job and we look forward to field a strong driver line-up.I am glad to welcome Petri Corse Motorsport, as they chose SUPERSTARS WORLD over the other international endurance championships. This new challenge provides the team with a chance to step up - said SWR Managing Director Vincenzo Lamaro - On the other hand I want to thank Ntechnology and Mauro Sipsz for having contributed to the return of the Porsche Panamera, one of the most iconic challengers of the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES.Petri Corse will line-up with two different structures, keeping the SUPERSTARS and GTSPRINT operations separate. The first test for the Panamera are planned for late February, with the aim of being among the series' frontrunners.
