Further entries confirmed for 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series

Continuing the good news from last week that the Blancpain Endurance Series has received 27 confirmed entries, it has emerged today that the number has already increased to 32.

This morning it has also been confirmed direct from Switzerland that Blancpain Racing will field a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2. The team will once again run in the Pro-Am class with regular drivers Marc A. Hayek, President and CEO of Blancpain, and Peter Kox.

Confirmation came last week that reigning champions, Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, with two Audi R8 LMS Ultra entries, and ProSpeed Competition, with two Porsche 997 GT3Rs, have once again committed to Europes most subscribed GT series.

With a limit of 50 places, over half of the grid is already confirmed with ten weeks until the first race of the year at Monza on April 14. Also confirmed for the series is a McLaren MP4-12C from the winners of last years finale at Navarra - Hexis Racing. The French team have confirmed a season entry with team regulars Alvaro Parente and Stef Dusseldorp being joined by up and coming British talent Alexander Sims.

Gulf Racing has also announced that a second of its McLaren MP4-12C in the iconic blue and orange colors will compete in 2013. Details on their drivers are expected very shortly.

Also competing with McLarens will be UK based Von Ryan Racing. They are back with the familiar #88 car that will again be campaigned by Leon Price, Rob Barff and Jordan Grogor in the Pro-Am class. A second McLaren MP4-12C will also be available and the team is actively seeking drivers at present.

More announcements on further entrants will be unveiled throughout the coming weeks. Stay tuned to Breaking News from the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series!
