SUPERSTARS GTSprint teams enjoy positive runs in Adria test

SUPERSTARS was back roaring at Adria on Friday, where both SUPERSTARS and the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES lined-up for the first collective test of the 2013 season, the "KICK-OFF DAY".

Many new faces had the chance to sample the series' powerful machinery starting from Pasquale di Sabatino, who drove a Lumina CR8 racecar for Chevrolet Solaris Motorsport. The Abruzzo-based man, coming from the WTCC, was very impressed by the American-powered V8 machine and set a best mark of 1:19.880.

The BMW M3 of Team BMW Dinamic was one of the highlights of the day with Giovanni Berton, who was just confirmed by the team for a full 2013 run after his great 2012 breakthrough, and rookie Matteo Davenia, driving a SUPERSTARS car for the first time.

More Bavarian power came from the RGA team, fielding the competitive duo of Christian Mancinelli and Christian Pigionanti. Jaguar also lined-up in Veneto: Ferlito Motors fielded Gian Maria Gabbiani in order to develop their set-up for 2013.

The Chrysler 300C of Alessandro Battaglin also joined the pack as well as the Audi RS4 racers of PRS/Nos Racing. The three Ingolstadt-built cars were driven by Italian-Russian Alessandro Kouzkin, local ace Silvano Bolzoni and Italian Gianluca De Matteo.

The GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES was represented by Autorlando Sport. Their Porsche 997 welcomed several drivers including Giuseppe Ghezzi, who clocked the fastest lap of the day in 1:17.090.

An additional interesting entry came from ROAL Motorsport as the Italian squad fielded a BMW Z4 GT for Nicola De Marco and Stefano Costantini. The German racecar has been tipped for a 2013 GTSPRINT debut.
