Round 1: Alan Housan Memorial Car Trial, 10 February

Duncan Stephens kicked off his 2013 campaign by winning the inaugural Alan Housan Memorial Car Trial at the wheel of his Vauxhall Nova in terrible weather conditions near Milton Keynes.

The event had to be curtailed due to the heavy rain but Stephens drove dominantly, dropping just two points over the course of the day. An early challenge by Colin Reid ended at lunchtime as his VW Golf GTI retired with an engine problem.

Second overall as the highest placed rear-wheel-drive entry was Dave Oliver with his Hillman Imp, while Chris Judge claimed the new car class with third overall in a Nissan Micra.
