COLOMBIAN DRIVER AIMS FOR FULL-SEASON 2013 MERCEDES RIDE

After the first collective test of the season, the "Kick-Off Day", Teams and Drivers of the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES are now in full preparation mode. Mercedes Caal Racing was among the first to get back-on track, with Colombian Camilo Zurcher behind the wheel of their Mercedes C63 AMG.

The South American-born racer, who scored very positive results in his first few 2012 races with a Mercedes-powered machine, logged about 30 laps despite the tough weather and the slippery asphalt. The team, led by Corrado Canneori, completed the scheduled development work and their 500-horsepower racer also set some fast flyers throughout the session.Zurcher was also poised to be back at Magione after having impressed in the recent 100-mile race aboard a Caal Racing-prepared BMW.

I logged about 30 laps - told Zurcher - the cold weather didn't allow us to to push but I'm pretty satisfied with this test. My aim is to line-up for a full season, starting from the series' opener at Monza and why not, with Canneori and his team. I consider the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES a perfect international showcase for both me and my sponsors.
