After debuting last year in the series the Argentine driver is going to drive a car fielded by ART Grand Prix, one of the strongest and more successful teams in GP3. For Regalia, this is another step forward.
Regalia, managed by Adrin Campos finished last season in style, claiming both race wins in Barcelona for the session finale of the European F3 Open, a championship where hescored another win in Hungary and other podiums at Nrburgring oand Paul Ricard, not forgetting his brilliant performance in Auto GP.
Im very happy because last three months were pretty busy to close this deal. Its a pleasure to become an ART Grand Prix driver, because I know that Ill have a very good package for fighting for the results what we have in sight, Regalia said after signing with the French team.
He also explained I really appreciate the effort coming from my sponsors, Varlion, ACA and my family once again. People such Adrin Campos and Eduardo Ramrez have an important role to secure my present and future in motorsport. Weve an excellent working team and everything is set to aim for the best possible results. Two more people who very important are Mr. Rosales, the ACA president, Mr. Garca Remoh, CDA President in my country, because they chose me as the next Argentinian project towards Formula 1 and to carry my countrys flag.
Finally Regalia is happy because GP3 is a very important championship, always racing at the same tracks as Formula 1. Another great novelty is the new car, with more power and improved brakes and a more advanced aerodynamic package, so this challenge is even greater. Im looking forward to drive the new GP3/13 at Estoril next week, and according my new team is going to have a similar performance to first generation GP2 car.
Frdric Vasseur, from ART Grand Prix, explained we have closely followed the evolution of Facu including his performances during GP2 testing. His GP3 debut during the 2012 season was by nature very complicated, but he was instantly knocking on the door of the top 10. This in itself is a sign of quality that never fails to impress. Facu is an intelligent and talented young man who is also very mature for his age. He will fit in well with ART Grand Prix and in complete harmony with the teams 2013 GP3 driver line up.
GP3 has scheduled eight meetings in 2013 starting in May and finishing in November and visiting countries lSpain, England, Italy, Belgium, Germany and Abu Dhabi.
