KENT have announced the signing of youngster Connor Coles as the build-up continues to their National League entry.Exeter-based Coles comes from a speedway family as father Michael and grandfather Bob both starred as riders, and he launched his career with Rye House Raiders last season.Rye promoter Len Silver, who is also heavily involved in the Kent venture, spotted Coles potential in a junior event at Peterborough, and due to his location arrangements have been made for his machinery to be worked on in Kent.Manager John Sampford said: It isnt the most convenient way for any rider to be situated, but this boy has enough potential to make the inconvenience worthwhile and I am sure he will continue to progress and help the Kings to gain success in this, their inaugural season.
