Formula 4 Team SWR Signs Partnership Deal With Motul‏

Global lubricant manufacturer Motul has become a key commercial partner of new BRDC Formula 4 Championship team SWR (Sean Walkinshaw Racing), renewing a long-standing association with the Walkinshaw family which stretches back well over 30 years.Chipping Norton-based SWR, which will field two cars in the inaugural season of BRDC Formula 4, has been busy assembling one of the most professional and experienced squads in the championship over the past few months ahead of the single-seater categorys curtain-raiser in April.As part of that development, Motulwhich celebrates its 160th anniversary this yearhas chosen to come onboard as a technical partner for SWR, marking a significant moment for both entities; from the late 1970s through to the mid-1980s the lubrication giant was a commercial partner to the late Tom Walkinshaw during his hugely successful touring car career.Now, almost 30 years since the Walkinshaw and Motul names last teamed-up to challenge for the European Touring Car Championship with a Jaguar XJS, the refreshed partnership is eyeing success in its maiden year as SWR in BRDC Formula 4.Its great to be working with Motul again and were delighted to have such fantastic support for our first season in Formula 4, said SWR team owner Sean Walkinshaw, Theres such a long standing, and successful, heritage which intrinsically links Motul and the Walkinshaw name.
