'No Fear' For Belcher As Masters Champ Gets Energy Boost

Renault UK Clio Cup racer Simon Belcher is to join close friend, and Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship front-runner, Dave Newsham in promoting the No Fear Energy drinks brand this year as he bids to retain the Masters Cup title in the BTCC feeder category.

The Swindon 39-year-old, who drives for the Handy Motorsport squad with assistance from reigning champion entrant Team Pyro, will act as an ambassador for No Fear Energy alongside multiple BTCC race winner, and 2010 Renault UK Clio Cup Champion, Newsham.

Having known each other since competing together in the Legends Cars Championship during their formative careers, both drivers are relishing the prospect of promoting No Fear Energy to the widest possible audience as part of their respective campaigns in Clio Cup and the BTCC this year.

It is great to partner with the No Fear Energy brand and I am looking forward to working with Dave and the No Fear team this year, said Belcher, whose impressive portfolio of sponsors also includes KRCHER, Abacus Insurance Services and I4 Retail Design, We all need a boost from time to time and No Fear Energy does just that!

Inverness driver Newsham has been instrumental in striking the deal for both drivers to jointly promote No Fear Energy in 2013. The brand came onboard with Newsham as a sponsor for his title winning Clio Cup season in 2010 and, with No Fear Energy supporting his BTCC challenge this year with Speedworks Motorsport, Newsham wanted Belcher to join him as a brand ambassador.

Belcher, throughout his sporting career, has been no stranger to the need for high levels of energy prior to racing cars he was a four-time British and European Jet-Ski Champion as well as being the highest ever ranked British Pro Modified Jet-Ski rider in the 1997 World Championship.

This year, he is back for a second season in the Renault UK Clio Cup where he aims to retain the Masters Cup class title he won during an impressive debut campaign in 2012. Running as part of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race weekends, the ultra-competitive Clio Cup will get underway on 30th/31st March at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit in Kent.

Before then, Belcher and his newly liveried KRCHER, Abacus Insurance Services, I4 Retail Design and No Fear Energy supported Clio will be in action for the official pre-season test and Media Day at Silverstone National Circuit in Northamptonshire on Thursday, 21st March.
