Isle of Man Racer Gavin Hunt confirms TT Races debut in 2013‏

Manxman Gavin Hunt will make a much-anticipated debut at the 2013 Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy, having confirmed his entry for all three 1000cc Races.

The 26-year old will campaign a ZX-10R Kawasaki in the Dainese Superbike, Royal London 360 Superstock and PokerStars Senior TT Races.

Son of former TT star and Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Paul Hunt, the Braddan rider has focused much of his career on the short circuits to date, in particular the British Superstock 1000cc Championship where he's been a regular points scorer since 2009.

However, he's also contested the North West 200 Road Races where he made his debut in 2010, taking a best finish of 15th in the Superstock Race. He also took 16th in the opening Superbike race and recorded another top twenty finish in the second Supersport Race. Hopes of bettering those results were dashed by the cancellation of much of the 2011 programme whilst a lack of machinery kept him away from the meeting last year.

Hunt will make his debut on the Mountain Course for his JAR Kawasaki team and will be focusing his season around the event, where he's sure to benefit from the tutelage of his father who competed at the TT between 1986 and 2008, taking a best finish of 4th in the 2005 Superstock Race.

Paul Phillips, TT and Motorsport Manager, Isle of Man Government, commented:

"Gavin has been one of the Isle of Man's most promising riders for a few years now. It's great to see a local rider coming through to make his debut on the Mountain Course and I'm sure he's going to be one to watch in future years."
