Think of Easter and you picture scenes of Easter Egg Hunts, swathes of spring flowers, family get togethers and maybe the odd Hot Cross Bun!
Not at Castle Combe Circuit though as Wednesday 3rd April sees the popular Startline Young Driver Experience welcomed back to the circuit although this one will include a special Easter treat!
The Startline Young Driver Experience was launched at Castle Combe Circuit in November 2012 and has already welcomed dozens of 12-16 year old students through its doors. There are 2 courses on offer with the Starter Drive lasting approximately 2 hours and the Advanced Drive, 4 hours.
Marketing and Events Manager, Jo Sparrow confirmed: The Startline Young Driver Experience is a new venture for Castle Combe Circuit and one that is already receiving very favourable comments from both students and parents alike. We have made every effort to ensure that the experience is fun whilst still offering a practical and safety conscious side.
We can all cast our minds back to the first time that we sat behind the wheel, the heady feeling of I can now drive quickly followed by the reality of stalling at the first junction.What were trying to provide at Castle Combe Circuit is the excitement of that first drive whilst still within the safe, traffic free environment of the Circuit and Paddock. Add in some basic car maintenance and a strong road safety message and youve got a very rounded approach. Students on the Advanced Drive even get a chance to undertake the Beer Goggle Walk which demonstrates the impact that alcohol can have on basic co-ordination and concentration levels.
Castle Combe Circuit is currently running its courses during school holiday periods with the next date scheduled for Wednesday 3rd April 2013. Cars are shared by up to 3 students and you can book siblings or friends in the car together.
Jo Sparrow confirmed: We do have some last minute availability on Wednesday 3rd April as we have slotted this additional date in as the May date was booked within a few days of being launched online. Prices start from just 49 and being that the date is within the Easter school holidays, were hoping for the course to be gifted to students as an unusual alternative to chocolate! Dont panic though as theyll still get their chocolate fix as well even throw in a free Easter Egg for each student booked in for that day!
