Double Nascar sponsorship boost for Richard Childress Racing

The Richard Childress Racing (RCR) Nascar team has secured the support of two more sponsors for its multi-series 2013 campaign.

The first deal will see Kwikset, a domestic lock brand made by Hardware and Home Improvement (HHI), sponsor driver Jeff Burton for the entirety of this years Sprint Cup.

Kwikset will provide the primary paint scheme for one race, the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway on 6th July, however the brands logo will feature on Burtons No. 31 Chevrolet throughout the season.

To activate the partnership Kwikset will have a VIP infield hospitality presence at five race weekends, beginning with the upcoming Las Vegas Motor Speedway event on 10th March.

"Richard Childress Racing's focus on elite innovation strategies falls right in line with Kwikset's brand promise to deliver smart, innovative security options to our customers," said Greg Gluchowski, president of the HHI Group at Spectrum Brands. "We are proud to align ourselves with excellence for the 2013 Nascar Sprint Cup Series season."Meanwhile, RCR driver Ty Dillon has also secured backing for his 2013 campaign, with Wesco International renewing its primary sponsorship of Dillons No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro for six Nationwide races this year.

The Pittsburgh-based company, which previously sponsored RCR for two Nationwide events in 2012, will support Dillon at Las Vegas this weekend; Talladega in May; Dover in June; Bristol in August; Texas in November; and the season-finale at Homestead-Miami, also in November.

John Engel, the chairman, president and chief executive of Wesco International, said: We look forward to the exposure and brand recognition this type of sponsorship brings to Wesco. It creates opportunities for us to strengthen our customer and supplier relationships and engage with other companies who do business in the markets we serve.

Wesco will also serve as an associate sponsor of Dillons No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet for all races in this years Camping World Truck Series.

Dillon added: Im honoured to have the opportunity to race under the Wesco colors and represent their supplier partners on the race track. Wesco and RCR have similar values and that makes us a great team.
