GLASGOW newcomer James Wright and Sheffields Joe Haines have accepted late bookings to compete in the Ben Fund Bonanza at Berwick on Saturday.Wright and Haines join the line-up following the withdrawals of Craig Cook due to mechanical issues and James Grieves, who had already warned organisers that he may be forced to pull out in order to resolve a medical problem.Meeting organiser Paul Ackroyd said: Im really grateful to the riders who have taken the booking at such sort notice. Weve called them at just three days notice which isnt ideal but they have realised the importance of the occasion.So I particularly want to thank these two riders as well as all the others who are in the meeting.

TOMAS Topinka has reflected on nearly two decades in British Speedway as he prepares for his Farewell meeting at Kings Lynn on Friday.The 2013 Stars team will take on a Select side including Grand Prix regulars Nicki Pedersen, Andreas Jonsson and Tai Woffinden in honour of the Czech Republic rider who first appeared for the club in 1993.Topinka said: All the years at Kings Lynn have been good for me. The first few years were learning, we had a good team and good team bonding, and I really enjoyed myself.It should be a good day. You cant have everybody you have ridden with in the team, but it is mainly riders I have been involved with over the years.(SPEEDWAY 3)

BUXTON duo Tyler Govier and Matt Williamson have been handed call-ups to the semi-final of the British Under-21 Championship at Plymouth on March 16.Govier and Williamson come in as Connor Coles and Richard Franklin have pulled out, with Martin Knuckey and Michael Neale now named as reserves.The top seven from the meeting at St Boniface Arena will join the nine seeded riders in the British Under-21 Final at Dudley on April 23.BRITISH UNDER-21 SEMI-FINAL DRAW: Brendan Johnson, Jake Knight, Nathan Greaves, Darryl Ritchings, Brandon Freemantle, Richard Andrews, Liam Carr, Danny Stoneman, Adam Ellis, Tyler Govier, Oliver Greenwood, Dan Greenwood, Matt Williamson, Shane Hazelden, Josh Bates, Max Clegg. STOKES main team sponsors Easy Rider have agreed an extension to their deal for the 2013 season.The company have backed the Potters for over a decade, making them one of the longest-running sponsors in the sport.Stoke promoter Dave Tattum said: Im delighted that Easy Rider will again be sponsoring the club, and we are very lucky to have them on board in what is currently a very difficult economic climate. We have a very good relationship with Cyril Chell who owns the Stafford-based company, and a deal was quickly agreed which sees us join forces again for another year.
