The Sauber Formula One team has renewed a technical sponsorship and supply deal with carbon/composite parts manufacturer PlaucoPlast ahead of the new season.
The Swiss company made its first body for Sauber in 1973 and has been working with the team almost uninterruptedly since then.
The new deal sees it elevated to 'technical partner' status and it will have its logo on the rear section of the sidepods on the car and elsewhere on the team's equipment.
PlaucoPlast supplies carbon/composite parts to the aerospace industry, and produces components for air defence systems and civilian drones."We have been working very closely with PaucoPlast for many years now, said Monisha Kaltenborn, Sauber's team principal. For us, PaucoPlast represents a guarantee of production quality and delivery reliability when it comes to complex carbon-fibre parts such as the floor, brake ducts and body elements. The close geographic proximity of the two companies to one another also assists our partnership. Im delighted that were now stepping up our cooperation another notch.
Sauber has an all-new driver line-up for this season with Nico Hulkenberg joining the team alongside promoted reserve driver Estaban Guttierez.
