Cadillac RC Motorsport make their comeback to the SUPERSTARS

ROME-BASED SQUAD TO FIELD TWO HIGHLY-REVAMPED AMERICAN RACERS WHILE KEEPING COMMITTED TO GTSPRINT

Cadillac RC Motorsport is about to make their comeback to the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES by fielding two revamped Cadillac CTS-V racecars in the upcoming 2013 competition.

The Rome-based team, managed by Alessandro Salvati, is set to retain experienced drivers Roberto Benedetti and Roberto Del Castello as they make their return to the SWR-promoted championship. After two seasons spent at the top of the GTSPRINT INTERNATIONAL SERIES ranks, RC Motorsports was able to score a spectacular win under the Corvette banner at Pergusa with Benedetti. The same car will be retained for the 2013 GTSPRINT championship, while the two CTS-V racers will add more American flavour to the SUPERSTARS mix.

"We're enthused to be back in SUPERSTARS - told Salvati - We invested a lot in the 2013 season because this series is a benchmark at international level. We're working very hard on two completely revised cars and radical changes have been made in terms of the chassis and suspensions. We will definitely line-up the first one at Monza and we look forward to complete the second one in time for round 2. I can also anticipate that we also might bring on-track the Coup version of the CTS-V before the end of the season".

"On paper, the Cadillac seems very competitive and it's also a perfect fit with the SUPERSTARS philosophy - told Del Castello - two engineers are tirelessly working on our cars to maximize their potential and I promise I will be back hungry and in full shape!"

"We aim at being competitive - said Benedetti - the challenge between American racecars will be tough and interesting as we will line-up against the Chevrolet Lumina and the Camaro of Sini. The CTS-V will count once again on a 7.0-liter engine developing more than 500 horsepower. We hope to take full advantage of it at Monza which is a bit "our" track. After a successful season with the Corvette, I'm back to SUPERSTARS with the goal of being equally competitive".
