Pirelli, the official tyre supplier to Formula One, has launched a new Twitter page for all Pirelli motorsport entusiastics to share and receive news on the companys worldwide events.
With over 500,000 fans connected to Pirellis various social media channels, the Italian tyre firm has created a Twitter page which will focus entirely on Pirellis motorsport activities. This move follows on from the introduction of a Pirelli motorsport Facebook page that was launched last November.
Pirellis new Twitter page has already attracted over 10,000 fans and will update social media users on Pirellis involvement in motorsport ranging from Formula One, the British Rally Championship, MINI Challenge and the Ferrari Open.
Pirelli UK Marketing Director Wayne Nickless commented: Pirellis involvement in motorsport is growing year on year, and the company started a specialised motorsport Facebook fan page last year as a result of this trend. We feel that the growing success of our motorsport programmes across the globe also merits its own Twitter page, and we look forward to interacting with our fans during another busy season ahead.
