Michael Meadows tops collective testing by a quarter of a secondMeadows aims to win back-to-back titles and re-write Championship record bookManagement in discussions to expand programme in order to prime Champion for 2014Following last weeks announcement that 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup Champion Michael Meadows is returning to this years series, the talented Briton delivered a statement of intent by topping the Championships first collective day of 2013 pre-season testing at Silverstone.Meadows who will race for the newly constructed InterGTM team backed by Samsung Electronics, was fastest around the Silverstone National Circuit by over a quarter of a second - posting a fastest lap of 55.978 seconds.Meadows, who returned to the track where he claimed the 2012 drivers title, was pleased with a productive first day, We set out with plans to conduct some qualifying and race simulations and they all went much to plan. As the current Champion, I know I am the man everyone wants to beat, but trust me, I am working overtime to push the team. This year I dont just want the title, I want the most poles, wins and fastest laps too. As ever, I am up against some very talented competition, but I very much believe in my ability and that of the team around me.The up-coming season marks an opportunity for Michael to kick start his career, having struggled to raise the funding required to showcase his talent. Having secured the 2012 title on a shoestring budget, Samsung recognised Michaels ability and were quick to secure him for their 2013 programme with InterGTM.
