LAKESIDE have made a team change on the eve of the season with Richard Lawson recruited to replace Richie Worrall.Lawson, who rides for Workington in the Premier League, joins the Hammers on a doubling-up basis after Worrall was ruled out due to contractual issues.Co-promoter Jon Cook said: We are fortunate that Richard was available and he jumped at the chance of joining us. He is a great big-track specialist, and as such gives us strength at reserve on our travels to compliment Rob Mears small-track skills, whilst he learns the Raceway circuit. We had dealings with (Worralls) second agent of the winter and after an unprecedented attempt to renegotiate a contract signed before the end of last season we felt the riders heart was clearly not at the club.(SPEEDWAY 2)

I along with my family, Rob Lyon and all the riders and staff here at King's Lynn Speedway, will miss him forever.(SPEEDWAY 3)
ALES Dryml will retain the captaincy at Belle Vue this season after taking over midway through the 2012 campaign.Experienced Czech Republic rider Dryml is one of only three riders retained from last years Aces squad, and manager Jason Attwood says he was the obvious choice.Attwood said: I developed a lot of respect for Ales as I got to know him better last season. I wanted continuity in the captains role so I was very happy when he accepted the invitation to do it.Hes one of those riders who can lead from the front by pulling out the stops when needed. I cant believe hell be starting at the bottom of our averages and I cant see him staying there.
