Formula 4 Racer Robertson Helps Launch MSVR Calendar

Racecar client Charlie Robertson helped MotorSport Vision, the organisation behind the brand new BRDC Formula 4 Championship, officially launch its 2013 motor racing calendar yesterday during the annual MSVR Media Day at Brands Hatch.

Taking part in a specially arranged press conference and Q&A session with MSV Chief Executive Jonathan Palmer, the 16-year-old single-seater rookie who will compete in F4 this year helped to promote the championship and spoke of his hopes for the season ahead.

It all went well today, it was good to be a part of the Media Day, said the Investigo-backed MSA Academy youngster, It was a lot like being in a football press conference with the boards behind the desk, the microphone on there and loads of journalists and photographers.

Jonathan [Palmer] asked me quite a few questions about what attracted me to race in F4 this year, our hopes for the season and things like that. Everyone at MSV is treating Formula 4 as its flagship championship, really pushing it forward, and its great to be involved in all of that.

Although Charlie didnt actually take to the Kent circuit today, he did offer some advice regarding the MSV F4-013 chassis to Autosport Magazines National Editor, and track tester, Ben Anderson who provided some demonstration runs of the Ralph Firman-built car.

We didnt have my car at Brands today but Ben [Anderson] went out in the demo car for a few laps, so we had a chat and I gave him a few pointers, added the reigning Ginetta Junior Champion, It was definitely a good day so thanks to everyone at MSV and, of course, Jonathan for inviting me to take part.

Charlies next test outing at the wheel of his HHC Motorsport-run MSV F4-013 car will come a fortnight from now. The championship itself will get underway on 27th/28th April at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit in Northamptonshire.
