Technology giant Microsoft has become the naming rights sponsor of the V8 Supercars event at the Symons Plains Raceway in Tasmania. The event, which will run from 5th to 7th April, will be renamed the Tasmania Microsoft Office 365. It is the second round of the annual V8 Supercars season and will be the first to adopt the new 60/60 super sprint format, which comprises two 60-kilometre races separated by a 15-minute break, with no mid-race refuelling.The financial terms of Microsofts title sponsorship were not announced.
