London Rally for Heroes ready with 80 entries

General Dynamics join KIA Motors and Environmental Biotech

Global military supplier General Dynamics has joined the key backers of the inaugural London Rally for Heroes, which is just days away from starting. With just two weeks to go before the ceremonial start at the iconic Brooklands Museum, 80 rally crews are itching to challenge the 60 miles of asphalt stages around the Aldershot area. Rally crews from all over the UK and from Belgium will take part.

"We are delighted to welcome General Dynamics to our key partners roster," says Rally Director Rick Smith.

"This is a massive endorsement for the rally from one of the world's leading military equipment suppliers and reinforces our ambitions to grow the London Rally to full championship status in the next two year. The General Dynamics support and that of KIA Motors and Environmental Biotech ensures our first year foundations are solid for a prestige event for the London area in the future."

The rally will be flagged off - by Secretary of State for Defence and local MP Philip Hammond - from the Brooklands Museum on the evening of Friday 19 April, with the competitive stages running over military land during Saturday 20 April. Rally enthusiasts can watch the cars in high-speed action on some of the stages. Visit www.londonrallyforheroes.com for details
