ROBERT Miskowiak will miss Pooles Elite League opener against Kings Lynn following his crash on Good Friday.Miskowiak is still in pain from a leg injury and is forced to sit out the clash at Wimborne Road on Wednesday, with the Pirates using rider-replacement to cover for his absence.Promoter Matt Ford said: It is dreadfully unlucky for poor Robert. It was more of a Bad Friday for him, with a tapes handicap in his first ride and then that heavy fall when battling for the lead in his second ride.At Swindon the night before he showed glimpses of what he is capable of in this league, and I think that he will settle in and become a reliable contributor to our points. I know for sure that he is very disappointed about having to miss our meeting.(SPEEDWAY 2)

REDCAR boss Jitendra Duffill believes strength at reserve will help the Bears enjoy a positive Premier League campaign. The South Tees side open up against Newcastle on Thursday with Hugh Skidmore and Micky Dyer added to their side for the new season.Duffill said: We have two strong reserves in Micky Dyer and Max Dilger. If one or both break into the top five then we are guaranteed a strong pairing at six and seven in the team line-up come what may.
