Indycar postpones Indianapolis 500 Rookie Orientation due to bad weather
INDYCAR announced today that it is postponing the Indianapolis 500 Rookie Orientation Program scheduled for April 11 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway due to the forecast of inclement weather. "We have been monitoring the weather reports in Indianapolis to make sure the conditions would be suitable for ample on-track activity," said Brian Barnhart, president of operations and strategy, INDYCAR. "With the strong chance for rain and lower ambient temperatures, we felt it was best to postpone our Rookie Orientation Program until a later date." Officials will announce the rescheduled date for ROP soon. Four drivers - A.J. Allmendinger, Conor Daly, Carlos Munoz and Tristan Vautier - are scheduled to participate.
