BUILDBASE HONDA RIDERS SNATCH VALUABLE POINTS AT LYNG

As the sun shone down on the sandy Lyng circuit in Norfolk for the ACU Maxxis British Motocross Championship, the Buildbase Honda team battled through a tough weekend and was rewarded with Nico Aubin gaining fourth in the overall MX1 standings.Qualifying in second position, Aubin fought a hard battle in MX1 moto one to cross the line in seventh place. He was determined to improve on this performance in the remaining two motos and managed to match the speed of the front-runners to finish fourth come the flag in both outings.For Steve Ramon, the weekend didnt go according to plan. A mistimed out-lap in qualifying put him in 16th position for moto one, but an incident on track left him with no front brake, forcing him to retire. For the remaining races, Ramon fought his way through the field, finishing in a solid 11th place in moto two and 16th in moto three.Tanel Leok, riding the Route 77 Energy Honda, snatched pole position in qualifying and took a triumphant first moto win aboard his CRF450R, along with two second places in the next two motos to move himself into second position in the championship.In MX2, Stephen Sword started his weekend off well, qualifying in seventh place. In moto one, disaster struck 20 metres up the start straight when he collided with two other riders, ending his race prematurely. In moto two, Sword rode a fantastic recovery to ninth, but the final outing saw him crash out of contention. Aubin now sits fourth in the MX1 championship, with Ramon in 10thplace. Sword lies 18th overall in MX2.
