SBD Motorsport MSA British Sprint Championship

Round 2: Lydden Hill, 6 April

Stewart Robb dominated proceedings at Lydden Hill, qualifying easily before winning the top 12 run-off.

The combination of a timing glitch and the start of an approaching race meeting limited the event to just the one run. This left Mike Musson to annex second, while Mark Smith delivered a stunning performance in his two-litre Reynard to take third, getting to within 0.11 seconds of his class record on the cold track.

Terry Holmes took fourth, nearly a second adrift of Smith, and in doing so maintained his championship lead.
