Round 1: Three Sisters, 6-7 April

Alex Quinn kicked off the new MSA National Comer Cadet Kart Championship with two fighting wins at the fast Three Sisters circuit.

Quinn took pole for the first final but Lewis Thompson made a tremendous start for a short-lived lead until a crash, a spin and a damaged kart relegated him to 15th. Quinn and Tom Wood ran out in front while Oliver York relegated Jonny Edgar to fourth.

Wood led York and Quinn for most of the second final until Quinn saw his chance, explaining: Ollie went to get Tom at the first corner so I got a good tow off Ollie, they went wide and I just went for it. The move put Quinn on top once again, while Thompson stormed up to fourth ahead of Edgar.
