HERO brings Classic rallying to the small screen

The Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation (HERO) has partnered with Motors TV to broadcast the 2013 HERO Cup, in association with EFG International.Every qualifying round of the yearly competition, which combines events from HERO and the Classic Rally Association (CRA), will be aired shortly after each event has finished on Fridays at 22.05 on Europe's only television channel exclusively dedicated to motorsport.Tomas de Vargas Machuca, joint managing director of HERO, said: This is another demonstration of how HERO and the CRA are working to spread the spirit of classic rallying. We wanted to take historic rallying to the screens at home so that we could reach a broader audience and encourage people to get involved and learn more about it.Frdric Viger, Motors TV Head of Programming & Acquisitions, added: Rallying and historic racing are both among our viewers favourites, so mixing them can only provide a great show and a massive success. We are very proud to welcome these events to the channel, especially with such a supportive organisation behind it.Each HERO programme will be 48 minutes long and will review the most exciting features of the events.
