MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports has signed an extension to its agreement with Stanley Black & Decker that will see Dewalt and Stanley continue as sponsors of the series for a further two years.

Dewalt will remain the official power tool supplier of the MotoGP world championship and Stanley will continue as the official tool supplier until the end of the 2014 season.

Stanley Black & Decker will activate the deal through its Tool Village showcase events at MotoGP races in France, Germany, Holland, the Czech Republic, the UK, and the USA.The brands will also receive significant branding on and off the track, particularly at the German race on the Sachsenring circuit.

This year the programme delivers increased brand visibility through new digital activity as well as a live event programme featuring the Stanley Black & Decker Tool Village, putting our tools and equipment into the hands of the live race audience," said Stanley Black & Decker's vice president of corporate brand management Scott Bannell.

"MotoGP is a growing global sport and year on year allows us to deliver increased global brand awareness.

"All our staff using their tools and equipment across the 18 rounds is an advert in itself for the confidence we have in their products, added Dorna's commercial managing director Pau Serracanta.
