With two and a half weeks still to go to the rally, the organisers of the SG Petch Tour of Hamsterley, round two of the West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C Rally Championship, have received a capacity entry for the Sunday 28 April rally.The 95 available places have been snapped up in record time and the organisers are now considering a reserve list for any more entries. Over 60 historic cars will pack out the entry with contenders for both the WWRS R.A.C Rally Championship and the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship. More than 50 R.A.C. contenders will tackle the County Durham event.

Clerk of the Course Steve Waggett commented: "We couldnt be happier to have a full entry over two weeks before the event itself. Its not just a full entry however; it is a top quality field of both modern and historic cars including over 40 Ford Escorts, several WRC cars and a smattering of 1400s as well.This is a significant milestone for the rally, which the current team has been organising for the last six years, continued Waggett. It is testament to the real enthusiasm and commitment of the whole team that has kept us going through some difficult and trying times to get to this years rally and run with a full entry. The R.A.C. Championship contenders are clearly a major part in attaining this achievement too and we are looking forward to welcoming them to County Durham on 27/28 April for the rally."R.A.C.
