Maserati Trofeo rolls into Misano for an official workout‏

Misano, in Romagna (Italy), will be the setting for the Maserati Trofeo MC World Series official test sessions today and on Sunday 14 April.

This fourth staging of Maseratis single-make series will see the action unfold over six rounds in France, Germany, England, the United States, China and the United Arab Emirates.

Once again the Trofeo entrants come from across the globe; in 2012 the 84 drivers came from 24 different countries with the starting grid also numbering an average of 24 cars for each round.

The car boasts technical features that derive from the 2012 version, a season in which significant aerodynamic specifications were introduced. The car has also been improved with a widened track and has had its weight trimmed to 1380kg.

All the Maserati GranTurismo MC Trofeos are made race-ready by technicians who ensure the cars are set up in the same way to produce a level playing field.

The engine that powers the car remains the 4700 cc V8 and the tyres sported by the Maseratis are still supplied by Pirelli.
