Andres Vilarino wins heat 1 in the Ubrique-Benaocaz Hill climb

The Basque Countrys driver, at the wheel of his Norma CN and posting a time of 2:12.919, has beaten Javi Villa (BRC B49) by almost three seconds,  taking the win among CM cars. Its worth mentioning Lopez-Fombona finished 7th with his new Audi A4 DTM, finishing behind Ral Borreguero. Gerard de la Casa and Marcelino Hevia won E1 and Group N respectively

Andres Vilarino won Saturdays heat, the opening one for 2013 edition of the Ubrique-Benaocaz Hill-climb celebrated  on Andalusian soil. After Antonio Alarcon dominated first training session with his Silver Car and a time of 2:22.653, Vilarino emerged as fastest in the second session and a time of 2:15.987.

Then in the Heat 1, starting at 17.30, Vilario led the classification once again, set a time of 2:12.919 and an average speed of 120km/h, out of reach for anyone else today, including Javi Villa who set the record for CM cars last year. Villa was finally second, but almost three seconds slower debuting his new BRC B49. Anyway Villa won among CM cars and rather clearly, because his most immediate rival, Oscar Palacio (Demons Car), was four seconds off pace. Jonathan Alvarez (BRC 05 Evo) and ngela Vilarino (Silver Car S2) were 4th and 5th overall.Regarding GT and touring cars classifications, Raul Borreguero was fastest  with his impressive muscle American car Mosler MT900R and a time of 2:25.028 6th fastest overall- and first in GT rankings as well. Close behind Jose Antonio Lopez-Fombona was seventh a mere tenth slower but taking the win in E2-SH, a pretty good debut for his new Audi A4 DTM. Andorras Gerard de la Casa (SEAT Leon WRC) has been fastest in E1, ahead of Jose Antonio Aznar (Audi A4 ST) and Manuel Maldonado (SEAT Cordoba WRC), another closely-fought class today.

In Group N Mitusibishi has had a dominant role taking the podium with Marcelino Hevia (Lancer EVO X), first, and then Cesar Gutierrez and Jose Blanco, second and third respectively with two EVO IX. In Group A ngel Cordero was fastest with a Renault Clio R3.Second and third heat will take place today at 10.30 and 12.30.
