Gustavo Lima completes HHC line-up for 2013 BRDC F4 season

Brazilian driver Gustavo Lima has been confirmed as HHCs third driver in the 2013 BRDC F4 championship, partnering Charlie Robertson and Raoul Hyman at the Harrogate-based team.

16-year-old Lima, from Braslia, spent two years in karting in Brazil and the USA, notably securing a place in the Seletiva Petrobras finals in 2011, where 12 drivers are selected to compete for the most prestigious prize in Brazilian karting.

He stepped into single seaters in 2012, competing in Formula Renault Alps, and has since competed in the Formula 3 Sudamericana series, where he raced on the Interlagos Grand Prix circuit.

Lima already has experience in the F4 car, having tested at Snetterton and Donington Park last week, and is delighted to confirm his spot on the grid ahead of the first round at Silverstone later this month.

Im very excited to be joining the BRDC Formula 4 Championship, commented Lima. I like the car very much, its very different to the cars I have driven before, and Im looking forward to doing some more testing and the first race at Silverstone this weekend. There are a lot of fast drivers in the championship and I hope to be racing with them at the front.

HHCs Commercial Director Charlie Kemp added: Were delighted to welcome Gustavo to our BRDC F4 team, completing our line alongside Charlie and Raoul. Weve had a really good testing programme, and have completed a lot of laps over the past few weeks. With our line-up we are confident we will be right in the hunt at Silverstone and are now eagerly awaiting the first round of the championship.
