Villorba Corse,Andrea Montermini and Luca Filippi ready for GT Open after Adria test

Intensive work and practice behind the wheel of the Ferrari 458 GT2 for the first round of the international series to be held next weekend at Paul Ricard

Villorba Corse officially started its 2013 season and is now ready for the first round of the International GT Open.

The Italian squad led by Raimondo Amadio tested with race drivers Andrea Montermini and new entry Luca Filippi at Adria. The talented pair covered sixty laps behind the wheel of their Ferrari 458 GT2. After a long winter this test session was important in particular to allow the former F.1 driver and the young 2011 GP2 runner-up to work together and to become familiar with the supercar from Maranello as the first GT Open round is to be held next weekend at Le Castellet. At Paul Ricard on Friday, April 26 there will be two free practice sessions and qualifying is scheduled to be on Saturday at 10:00 and 11:55 (local time). Race-1 will take place at 15:55. On Sunday, April 28 race-2 will start at 12:15.

Everything went well today - says Amadio, Team Principal -. We managed to finish the work as planned and without any problem. Moreover I was very impressed by our drivers' performances. We have everything to do well and to achieve good results.

It was a very good day - says Montermini - and we had a very positive shakedown with the car. I quickly found a great harmony with my new teammate and we will try to do our best with the current resources.

I'm happy - says Filippi -, we started at last! I am glad to see so much enthusiasm around the whole team and - also from a technical point of view - with Andrea everything went well. We'll have a lot of fun this season.
