Jacques Schulz to commentate on ADAC GT Masters for kabel eins

The live broadcasts of the ADAC GT Masters on kabel eins get a new voice for the 2013 season. Jacques Schulz, well known to German motor racing fans as a Formula 1 commentator of many years standing with Sky, will take up his duties at the season opener in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (April 26th-28th) and work at all subsequent races in the Super Sports Car League for free-to-air commercial channel kabel eins. Schulz will be assisted by motor racing expert and racing driver Patrick Simon, who has worked as a pundit for kabel eins at ADAC GT Masters events since 2011. During the past 20 years, Jacques Schulz has made a name for himself with German TV viewers as an authority on Formula 1. The 46-year-old has been an anchor man at Formula 1 grands prix since 1993. Between 1996-2012, Schulz commentated on 289 Formula 1 races in a row for Sky. "The ADAC GT Masters has everything for petrol heads everywhere: sports car to die for, exciting racing action on the track, racing drivers and cars that you can almost touch. I am very pleased to bring my 20-years of motor racing experience to bear on this very attractive series and to further strengthen its presence on free-to-air TV." Schulz and Simon will be aided and abetted in the 'ran Racing' live broadcasts by the very experienced and well-known presenter pairing of Andrea Kaiser and Jan Stecker, who will be out and about again on the grid and in the pit lane at all 16 races. The 2013 season marks the fourth consecutive year that kabel eins has transmitted live from the ADAC GT Masters. This season, Schulz and Simon will be on air 15 minutes earlier: The live broadcasts on kabel eins will begin on Saturdays and Sunday at high noon - 12:00 o'clock midday. The 2013 ADAC GT Masters will once again be contested over 16 rounds on eight race weekends throughout the year. All 16 races of the ADAC GT Masters will be shown on free-to-air TV station kabel eins. The live broadcasts to audiences in Germany, Austria and Switzerland commence at 12 noon on both the Saturday and the Sunday. The Super Sports Car League is being hosted by two new venues this time: the Formula 1 circuit at Spa-Francorchamps and the Slovakia Ring in Slovakia. The curtain-raiser for the seventh season of the ADAC GT Masters will be staged on the weekend of 26th - 28th April at the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
