Bank Holiday podium quest for Samsung Honda at Oulton Park

Alex Lowes will be aiming to add to his consistent run of podium finishes as he contests the third round of the British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this weekend. His team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari and British Supersport Championship contender Jason O'Halloran will also be fighting to secure the best results of their campaign so far.Lowes is one of only two riders to have finished on the podium in each of the four races so far this season and is preparing to maintain his impressive form on Bank Holiday Monday. Kiyonari is hoping for a change in fortunes after a disappointing event last time out at Thruxton, but the triple champion is eager to turn it around following a recent test at Knockhill. In the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship OHalloran is hunting for his first podium finish of the season and is eager move up the standings this weekend. The Australian has scored top eight finishes so far but he is determined to climb the order following the two races this weekend.Havier BeltranTeam Manager After a few weeks off since the last round at Thruxton the Samsung Honda team has had time to regroup and with the test at Knockhill, we head to Oulton Park feeling ready to go. Alex has had a consistent run of podium finishes so far and will obviously be looking to build on that this weekend, whilst we are hoping that the recent test will help Kiyo to progress at a circuit that has previously been very good to him. In the Supersport class we are hoping that Jason can get the start he needs to in the race so that he can challenge from the opening laps. We are aiming for a strong weekend for the team and look forward to Mondays races.Alex Lowes I cant wait for this weekend; especially after we had such a good test at Knockhill recently as we were able to make some good changes to the front suspension which gives me even more confidence. That is going to be important at a track like Oulton Park and we know the team and the Samsung Honda have already been working well in the opening two rounds and when I am happy like I am now, I tend to ride better. I hope that this weekend will be a circuit where we can push for the win, but I am not thinking about that too much at the moment. If we get the job done in practice and qualifying then well see what happens. If its on and I can beat the other guys then of course I will be pushing for it. I have been happy with the season so far and we need to be consistent, but a win would be a great result.Ryuichi Kiyonari Thruxton was difficult for me, but I hope that at Oulton Park it can be different. I like the circuit and have had some good races there before and we did some good work at the test so I hope that we can have better races this weekend. I will try very hard and we will work to try and improve all weekend because we need to have good results at Oulton Park.Jason OHalloran I am really looking forward to Oulton Park as we made some good steps forward at the test we had at Knockhill recently so will be good to put that work into practice at an event. That should help us take the step we need to fight for podiums this weekend.
