Fabrizio Giovanardi set for Porsche return to Superstars

INTERNATIONAL STAR AIMS FOR VICTORIOUS 2010 REPEAT AT BRNO

SUPERSTARS WORLD is ready to welcome back one of its most appreciated racers as Fabrizio Giovanardi, who cruised to four wins and three pole positions for Porsche in 2010, is set be back on the grid. Starting from the next round, scheduled for May the 19th at Brno, Petri Corse will provide him with a 2013-spec Porsche Panamera S.

My SUPERSTARS comeback came in a very unexpected fashion - said Giovanardi - but I'm definitely very happy for the proposal from Petri Corse. I know the car really well and I find it exciting in terms of design and development. Being back behind the wheel of the Panamera will be a great challenge and I'll be fully-focused in taking the Porsche brand back to the leading pack.

The Sassuolo-based racer, known as Piedone (bigfoot) for his aggressive driving style, has an impressive resume including an Italian Superturismo title in 1992, three European championships achieved in 2000, 2001 and 2002, and two BTCC crowns won in 2007 and 2008.

We are honoured to welcome a top-flight driver like Giovanardi - said Petri Corse Team Owner Simone Petri - we had already joined forces in testing to develop the Panamera and I am sure that no one but him can push it to its very limit. We are extremely committed to this project and we want to maximize the results.

We welcome back Fabrizio, who is a legend for the SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES after his sensational 2010 wins - said SWR Managing Director Vincenzo Lamaro - his great skills and experience will enable the Porsche squad to develop the Panamera to the same performance levels shown in the past, for the joy of the many SUPERSTARS fans.
