The weather finally took a turn for the better for the third round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this bank holiday weekend. Some of the Forcefield supported riders had an eventful weekend but they tallied up five podiums in the process.
A couple of the riders in the Supersport class had to give the Forcefield body armour a test this weekend, Bjorn Estment crashed heavily twice during qualifying and practice but was uninjured and scored two podiums in the British Supersport Cup Championship.
Bjorn Estment - "Oulton was a really tough weekend for me, in and out of the saddle....twice! I'm really pleased to say that the Forcefield armour as always did its job and withstood the force and impact from both crashes. I had a big high-side and also a very quick off at Druids corner one of the fastest corners on the circuit. Thankfully I ended up a little stiff with a couple of bumps and bruises for my troubles but nothing major. Forcefield is top kit and I'm proud to wear it!"
Ben Wilson also had a difficult weekend this weekend having a high speed crash at Cascades corner, walking away with just a minor cut on his arm sadly his Gearlink Kawasaki did not fair quite so well and he was forced to miss the opening race and had to start from the back of the grid in race two and worked his way through to seventh.
Ben Wilson - "I've never been a big crasher thankfully but we made a couple of changes on the bike and I lost the front going into the fast left hander, I landed pretty heavily but walked away with a small elbow burn. I'd like to thank all the guys at Forcefield as the kit is really comfy to wear and does its job which is a great piece of mind for a rider not having to think about that."
Mark Wilkinson - "The new Forcefield under-suits helped keep me cool in the warmer conditions over the weekend proving how good they really are in all year round weather conditions. As always the back and chest protector kept me comfortable and safe all weekend."
James Egan - "I rode in my new all season base layers at the weekend at Oulton Park, they were super comfy and allowed me full smooth movement inside my leathers and kept me cool."
